Pernand Vergelesses 1er Cru 'Les Fichots'
Pernand-Vergelesses
Sitting just below the Grand Cru Charlemagne slope, on shallow, stony limestone that ripens early. Expect dark fruit, liquorice and a mineral edge - a serious, often-overlooked Premier Cru simply because Pernand-Vergelesses isn't a famous name.
Vintages
- 2020
Another warm year, but one that avoided 2018 and 2019's occasional over-ripeness. Excellent phenolic grip and linear acidity, widely considered the best vintage since 2017 for capturing real differences between terroirs.
