A monopole - Armand Heitz is the sole owner - sitting just below the famous Rugiens vineyard. It breaks from Pommard's rustic reputation entirely: elegant and fine-boned rather than powerful, which is the whole point of a monopole - nobody else's winemaking decisions get blended in.
