Les Grands Suchots runs along the same prestigious border as the domaine's Les Suchots Premier Cru - Romanee-Saint-Vivant and Richebourg to the south, Echezeaux to the north - but is a separate parcel with its own identity, on deep clay-limestone soil over Bajocian marl.

    Another warm year, but one that avoided 2018 and 2019's occasional over-ripeness. Excellent phenolic grip and linear acidity, widely considered the best vintage since 2017 for capturing real differences between terroirs.
