"Montre-cul" translates, bluntly, to "show your arse" - an old Burgundian nickname for the region's steepest vineyard rows, where anyone bent double working the vines had no dignified option. It's a real, recurring name across Burgundy's steeper slopes, not a one-off joke Marc Soyard invented, though it suits his unpretentious style perfectly.
