Tattinger

The house's roots go back to 1734, making it one of the oldest Champagne producers still operating, though it carried a different name — Forest-Fourneaux — for two centuries.

Pierre Taittinger bought it in 1931, having fallen for the Champagne region years earlier as a young cavalry officer stationed at Chateau de la Marquetterie during the First World War.

His son Francois built the modern house style and created Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs in 1952. The family briefly lost control in a 2005 sale to an American hotel group, before Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger bought it back a year later. His daughter Vitalie has run it since 2020.
